Chain Maille POW/MIA Flag

I started this project in the fall of 2015. After 1,000+ hours of weaving, over a 5 year period, I finally completed this piece on June 6, 2020 (D-Day). This flag contains 79,236 hand-woven black and frost colored anodized aluminum rings. It measures a full 4 foot by 6 foot, making it a regulation size flag and the only one of its kind. It weighs in at just over 33 pounds. I will be building a custom frame for this piece to hang in, and am hoping it will eventually end up in the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum.
