CUSTOM European 6-1 Shirt – Stainless Steel

While attending the Longview, Washington, “Go Fourth!” Festival, in 2012, I was approached by this US Army soldier and asked if I could craft a chain maille shirt that had enough weight to be used for fitness training, while still allowing for flexibility, and without the drawbacks of being bulky like a weight vest. After a lengthy conversation about weaves and designs, I agreed to craft this beautiful European 6-1 shirt for him.

This custom-made European 6:1 shirt is crafted from approximately 26,000 sixteen-gauge stainless steel rings. Finished it weighed about 25 pounds.

Due to the amount of time that it takes to create a single shirt, (lead-time is about 6 months), I do not offer these shirts as a stock item on the website.
