Njord’s Mantle necklace with tribal spiral pendant

This beautiful, one-of-a-kind collar style necklace is hand-crafted using stainless steel and 4 different shades of blue anodized aluminum rings.

The photo doesn’t do justice to this amazing piece of wearable chain mail art. The necklace is made using the Great Southern Gathering (GSG) Sheet weave. The two sides of the necklace mirror each other and come together at the center with a section of FP6-1 weave. I used  3 shades of Royal Blue and one shade of Sky Blue to create the “wave” pattern in the necklace. The Sky Blue blends so well that it almost looks silver in this photo. The necklace measures 18 inches in length and is finished with a magnetic tube clasp for fastening. The focal pendant is a stainless steel tribal spiral that measures 1.4″ x 2″ x 0.16″ (34x51x4mm). Comes in a black cotton-filled jewelry box.

Due to the aquatic look of this beautiful necklace, and my love for all things Norse, I named this piece “Njord’s Mantle” in honor of the Norse god of the sea, Njord.
